Lifesaving Activities 2018

Sandbach Rotary Club Swimathon is on Friday evening and Saturday 16th & 17th March. We provide lifeguard cover and first aid. We are also looking for teams to enter the event. Times for Friday will be 4.30pm to 9.30pm, times on Saturday will be 10.00am to 5.00pm. This is a great opportunity for anyone who is considering becoming a lifeguard to working alongside fully qualified lifeguards. See Chris for further details if you are interested in swimming or lifeguarding at this worthwhile event.

The club AGM will be held after lifesaving on Saturday 14th April. All club members and their parents are invited. Although all our teachers are volunteers, we do have to pay for pool hire. From April this is going up to 105.00 per session. As we have already dig into our savings to cover our weekly bill, we cannot afford to carry on as we are now and subscriptions will inevitably have to increase. We also need people to help running to club in many roles.

The branch AGM will be held at Frodsham Community, Fluin Lane Frodsham, WA6 7QN, in the GP room, on Sunday 20th May arriving at 10.30am for 11.00 am start. the AGM will be from 11.00 am to 12.00noon, then lunch till 12.30pm. From 12.30pm to 3.30pm a seminar on Club 2020 is to be held. Please ask your trainers if you wish to attend for more details.

The branch Openwater competition will be held at Boundary Water Park, Cranage on Saturday 1st September. Anyone with a Survive & Save at least a core element is eligible to take part. Candidates to arrive at 9.00am, should be finished at lunchtime. We will also be hoping to run a junior competition along side the main competition.

The branch is looking to put on a Survive & Save Beach Award this year, looking at dates in June and July at present. Ask your trainers if you are interested in taking part.
